Publication status

The different publication statuses make it possible to work on an article or a page while maintaining control over the online posting and visibility of its content. WordPress allows for different publication statuses:

Published – an article or page that has been published

Future – an article planned for publication at a later date

Draft – an incomplete, unpublished article

Pending – an article awaiting review by another user

Auto-draft – an automatic backup created by WordPress while the article is being edited

Trash – an item moved to the Trash (pending permanent deletion).

Private – not visible to users who are not logged in.

Inherited – an article that is associated with a parent article, such as a revision or an attached file
